Whatโ€™s a .KINE file?

A .KINE file is a file that contains all the editing information contained in a KineMaster project, including media, layers, properties and settings, text and styling, and audio tracks. .KINE files can be saved at any point during the editing process, so others can pick up where you left off or merge their own projects in.

Creative Collaboration with .KINE Files

โœ… Take Over
If your videographer has dropped all the clips into a project, let them get back to making video and pass the editing on to, well, the editor. Got additional design requirements? Send the .KINE file over! Does marketing want to double-check branding? Need to send it to the client? Is Social Media going to post in several aspect ratios? .KINE files have you covered.

๐Ÿ“Œ Recommended situations
- Perfect for definite divisions of labor
- Great when you need to deliver draft versions ASAP

โœ… Make a Template
Itโ€™s easiest to iterate if you have a pre-existing format to follow. .KINE files make that easy, allowing you to replace to specific elements in a file for a brand new (but similar) creative. Whether youโ€™re swapping out product shots, names and titles, or logos and brand colors itโ€™s fast and easy to work with a project thatโ€™s already made.

๐Ÿ“Œ Recommended situations
- Excellent when the same video content needs CTAs in different languages
- Fast and easy to update brand colors and graphics

โœ… Share the Work
Make a master project from multiple editors! When you import a .KINE file, you can use the Merge Project tool to combine it with existing projects or with other .KINE files you have imported.

๐Ÿ“Œ Recommended situations
- Good for allowing different teams to provide text, design, video and images to a single editor
- Perfect when you want to assemble and revise KineMaster projects made by others

โœ… Edit Everywhere
KINE files can be easily shared via the cloud, email, Google Drive, etc., so you can continue working on and editing regardless of device or platform.

๐Ÿ“Œ Recommended situations
- When you need to continue working on a project that you worked on on your phone while on the road on a tablet at the office
- When collaborating with team members using different devices
